First, lets rewind a year...
Last year we visited the Easter Bunny and it was a success. This year, after the reaction we got from visiting Santa, I thought it would be best that we skipped the visit with the Easter Bunny this year. We'll save that visit for next year when Tyler can play the role of "Big Brother" and demonstrate his bravery for his little Sister. This year, the Easter Festivities began on Good Friday and did not end until 8PM on Easter Sunday. We spent most of Good Friday decorating Easter Eggs and practicing hunting for Easter Eggs.
Being that Tyler was so young last year, we didn't have an Easter Egg Hunt, so this year I thought we'd "pre-game" just to familiarize him with the event. He did well and took to it like he'd done it for years.
Decorating eggs was also a first for Tyler due to his young age last year. I was actually impressed with what a great helper he was, but his attention span didn't last long. After we put the first batch of eggs in the dye, it wasn't a minute or two later that he was ready for the next step and bored with watching the eggs. Oh well, at least we tried.

Easter Sunday began with unveiling what the Easter Bunny left for Tyler. I brought Tyler and his basket into bed where Daddy was still sleeping, and proceeded to wake Daddy up by handing over the goodies. So much fun! Daddy was even a good sport and wore a pair of Tyler's ears for the unwrapping.

We then headed to Mimi & Popop's house for Brunch, an Easter Egg Hunt and many, many more goodies! Brunch was DELICIOUS and as usual, I ate way too much! The Easter Egg Hunt was loads of fun and as suspected, practice made perfect. Tyler did a great job hunting eggs with a little bit of assistance from Daddy, who carried his basket for him. Tyler enjoyed the hunt with Cousin Madison and Cousin Aiden!

Special thanks to Mimi & Popop for the awesome beach wagon basket FULL of stuff from bubble guns, to bathing suits, to sunglasses, to a huge bouncy ball...also to Aunt Stef, Uncle Jarrett & Maddie for the oodles of goodies in his bucket (& mostly the ring pop ;)...and to Jeff & Cassie for the cool ball and "piggie bank food". Also wanted to thank Aunt Jeannie for the Easter eggs and Aunt Sue for my Christmas Tree & plant! ;) MANY, MANY THANKS, ALWAYS! Speaking of Christmas Trees, we left there feeling like it was Christmas, with a truck full of stuff! Eye, Yie, Yie! Next and final stop, Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Carlson's for Easter Dinner. Tyler fell asleep before we left Mimi & Popop's and stayed asleep the whole ride there and then some. After his nap, it was time for dinner, more goodies and Hunt #2. Again, I ate way too much, as everything was delicious! Hunt #2 was a great success as Tyler was a "Pro" by this point! Special thanks to Grammy & Pops for the basket & clothes, including Tyler's first airplane, kite and fire truck...also to Uncle Jeff & Aunt Leah for the basket of beach toys and books...and to Grandma & Grandpa Carlson for the 'special egg' and truck! Phew! Again, did someone mistake this holiday for Christmas?!? In any event, we are truly blessed to have so much family to spend the holidays with.
For many, many more pictures you can check out the Easter Album. If I missed anybody, or anything, I apologize! From our little bunny to you, we hope you all had a wonderful Easter! And so it goes...
