For the past few days, I've noticed that Tyler has been a little more fussy than normal. We have also had to keep the bib on hand because he has had globs and globs of drool oozing out of his mouth. I suspected there might be a tooth trying to make it's debut, since I observed his lower gums to be red and swollen. What I didn't suspect was that 3 teeth were coming in all at once. Not only 3 teeth, but 3 molars.

I assist Tyler with brushing his teeth on a daily basis. I say assist because, if I don't intervene, there would be no brushing going on at all. It would just be a whole lot of sucking the toothpaste off of the toothbrush. [Although, I can't say that I blame him. The infant toothpaste tastes like grape.] Anyway, on Monday, before I handed over his toothbrush, I stuck my finger in his mouth to see if any new teeth had broken through. THERE WAS! Only, it wasn't the tooth I was feeling for. It was the upper left First Molar and I was expecting a tooth on his lower gum line. Not to worry, the following day, the lower left & right First Molars joined in on the fun. Judging by the chart above, it seems that they arrived right on time!
I must say that he did very well during this round of teething. No fevers ever came about and the only way I knew that his teeth were even slightly bothering him was because he would try to jamb his whole fist in his mouth. For the past 2 nights, I have given him a 1/2-dose of Motrin to ease the pain and that did the trick! We only have a few more teeth to go, before he has his full set of Primary Teeth and the steak dinners can begin. And so it goes...
